How did you start the company?
Scentballz was started in December 2014 with our first field test of our polymer infused scent. I had the idea from my lack of happiness with the liquid scent options on the market at that time.
What do your customers say about your products?
For being such a new company our reviews are still growing and as we grow our customer base is gaining ground. Our customers seem to like the option for a longer lasting and easier to use scent. Hunters are tired of getting scent on them and wasteful sprays.
What are your most popular products and who is your target audience?
So for 2016 our top seller was our wild apple scent followed up by our doe with estrus scents. We feel that our customers have found a great attractant power in food based scents.
We feel that our target group of hunter are just that, HUNTERS. With our products we are geared toward whitetail deer, bears, pigs and even down to raccoons.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
The really cool thing about owning a scent company is I come into contact with a lot of people. What is the fulfilling part of this is hearing people’s success stories. I love to hear how Scentballz is able to help hunters excel in the field.
What is your favorite hunting or fishing memory?
So I’ve had a ton of successes both while hunting and fishing that really stick out in my mind that mean just alittle more to me. So in hunting it’s a tie between the first 10 pt. I got and my first turkey. Both were very special and to get those animals I couldn’t have been more excited. A huge fishing goal of mine was when I caught my first musky. Such a hard fish to land and they come so far and few between.
